The projects we offer to our partners and stakeholders are based on our business approach, which emphasizes collaborative research, sustainable development, and education for change in accordance with specific objectives of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Projects we’ve identified or will identify seeks to achieve one or more objectives of the SDGs.

Scholarship Through The Arts

Scholarship Through The Arts

Ava's Artistry Studio an initiative of INDESEEM INCORPORATED dedicated to education through arts is committed to providing 50% of purchases from our online art stores to help fund scholarships targeting vulnerable and disadvantaged children whose parents cannot afford their tuition in primary school in Liberia, Ghana, and Uganda due to COVID-19 related restrictions and other economic inequalities. This is part of our overall commitment and strategy to providing quality education. We are pleased to announce that 15 primary school children in Liberia will now have their full 2021-2022 tuition pay off in early August 2021. Thanks to everyone who bought a piece of artwork from our store. You are part of their journey.

Glass Girls UG is an initiative of INDESEEM, Inc. We believe in developing income-generating projects that benefit our environment. The choice of doing business or doing good is a false one. Our mission is to invest in the skills development of young girls and women in order to empower them to realize immediate needs and future goals. We do that, by creating educational programs and providing the appropriate resources in underprivileged communities. We believe in smart fund allocation, and therefore we employ minimal staff.

Liberia Public Library Project

Liberia Public Library Project

INDESEEM INCORPORATED has strategically allied with the World Computer Exchange, Inc. (WCE) and Books For Africa (BFA) as part of the establishment of the Liberia Public Library Systems (LPLS) – a multi-year development project which seeks to establish a network of open public libraries across Liberia with virtual connectivity that provide access to books, digital libraries, educational resources, and access to technology. The LPLS will also provide visitors access to career development and preparedness through training programs and work placement facilitation across all genders and ages.

Through the strategic alliance with WCE and BFA, over 60,000 books, other educational materials, and technology will be shipped to Liberia in 2022/23 to set up and furnish the Monrovia Open Public Library (MOPL) from whence the project will expand to all 15 counties of across Liberia over 10 years.

The goal of this project is to promote and encourage early reading literacy among elementary school students across Liberia. Students participating in this program will be introduced to both paper-based and electronic reading materials.

This project seeks to impact teaching-learning methods and outcomes in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics with an emphasis on students between the ages of 6 to 16 years old via after-school educational engagement activities.

This project seeks to identify and train teachers, paraprofessionals, and substitute teachers about best practices in teaching-learning methods, outcomes, and statistics. The Government of Liberia has recently stated the shortage of trained teachers as a national crisis.

Cross-Cultural Educational Exchange Initiative

Cross-Cultural Educational Exchange Initiative

The overall goal is to connect elementary to high school students from around the world through letters writing (pen pal). In this initiative, students within the same grade-levels will be matched with their peers through schools that are registered within our networks. The goal is to encourage and promote cross-cultural exchange, education, and dialogue through letters writings.

This is a multi-stage project targeting women and girls in agribusiness development building on existing knowledge and skills to introduce sustainable small business development to improve productivity, livelihoods, and enhance resilience to climate change vulnerabilities and risks.

Building on the education for sustainable development framework, this project seeks to impact sustainable energy design, development, and generation in rural Liberia with emphasis reinforcing existing local resources and knowledge systems.

IndeCARE Health Mobile App

Our team is working on a prototype mobile application known as "IndeCare." A mobile application with a web-based interface that allows patients to connect with community health workers, healthcare providers, clinics, and hospitals to engage and interact for the delivery of medical and healthcare responses and interventions.

The proposed action seeks to use vocational education and training (VET) as an enabler through education and training in information, communications, and technology (ICT) targeting disadvantaged people.

No Girl Left Behind

No Girl Left Behind

The overall goal of the No Girl Left Behind initiative is to break the stigma and discrimination against girls' hygiene and sanitary pads. The aim is to keep girls in school and that access to sanitary pads should not be a factor for absences or school dropouts.

Express Yourself Competition

Express Yourself Competition

The Express Yourself Competition is an annual competition in which applicants apply and submit one original craftwork for a craft category that promotes and spreads a message of social justice according to how they view it in whatever cultural form expressed as a work of arts. The overall goal of this competition is to encourage youth and young adults to pursue their dreams of the various forms of arts.

The Young Ambassadors Project

The Young Ambassadors Project

The purpose of the Young Ambassadors Project (YAP) is to provide young people the opportunity to be trained as leaders of tomorrow. In this project, YAP participants will undergo thorough training and facilitation modeled in accordance with the UN General Assembly where they are trained to cultivate leadership and decision-making skills to solve real-world problems.

The Hip Hop Project

The Hip Hop Project

In partnership with development partners that specialize in the arts, the Hip Hop Project (HHP) is dedicated to furthering artistic expression and dialogue, focusing on social issues such as age, race, gender, identity, culture, class, heritage, and inequality to promote sustainable peace education, national dialogue and healing, and reconciliation through the arts.

Scholars For Change Program

Scholars For Change Program

The Scholars For Change Program seeks to nurture the next generations of research scholars in developing countries through apprenticeship and direct one-on-one mentorship. In this program, research students will work with seasoned Visiting or Residence Scholars for a period during which they gain critical skills and expertise. The goal is to train and prepare the next generations of researchers who are willing to commit to their communities and countries.

Mobile Books 4Kids Club

The Mobile Book-4Kids Club seeks to target children in elementary schools across Liberia. The goal of the mB4KC is to promote and encourage early reading literacy amongst children in elementary schools across Liberia. The fundamental goal is for children to become independent readers and thinkers. Reading with comprehension is critical for early childhood education and development. We are launching the B4KC across Liberia to all public and private schools with an emphasis on enhancing reading literacy in children at the elementary level.

Collaborative research to us means working together with our partners to solve problems of mutual interest within communities where we work. Our teams, experts in what they do, work closely with their local and national counterparts from the research conceptualization stage to the implementation.
