David Safari comes to INDESEEM, Inc. with a distinct background in Environmental Science & Management. David worked as a research fellow in Environmental Science and scored a Distinction that earned him a Master of Research in Environmental Science at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Before his research career in Australia, he was a Ford Foundation Fellow at Clark University in Massachusetts, USA, where he graduated with a Master of Science in Environmental Science & Policy. He also holds a Master of Science in Natural Resource Ecology & Conservation from Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda where he also completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Biology with Education, graduating with a Second Class-Upper Division.
He has served in various roles including teaching and research at various universities and also worked on a number of development related projects in wetland rehabilitation, water, and sanitation, agriculture and capacity building in rural communities. His key research interests include environmental health, climate change, and food/water security, greenhouse gas fluxes, climate-smart agriculture, soil/water/air pollution, water resources management, natural resource conservation, sustainable development, and other areas related to environmental quality analysis. David has published over 5 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has also presented his research findings in international conferences.
