Senior Communications Officer - Liberia

Burphy holds a Bachelor in Communications and Media Studies from the University of Ghana (Legon) and is a prospective student at Clark University where he seeks to pursue the Master of Arts degree in International Development and Social Change from the Department of International Development, Community, and the Environment (IDCE).

He is a results-oriented leader with 10 years of combined experience in supervision and program implementation, public management, strategic planning, provincial and institutional development, communications, and capacity development.

Burphy’s experiences were accumulated through his works at RESPECT Ghana, Plan International, Education Development Center, Mercy Corps, Tetra Tech and USAID. His research interests include land governance and administration, community development and planning, humanitarian and crisis communications, media relations, multimedia design, conflicts and gender-based violence, youth development and empowerment, child protection and participation.
